Freedom By Design
This Organization works with AIAS students and local contractors to enable individuals who are disabled in some way. Here I was part of a 10 person group including a couple local contractors. We dismantled a dangerous patio on the side of special needs preschool, submitted plans for permits, designed and built a new deck with an ADA accessible ramp, and colorful play areas on different levels.
Rebuilding Together
On multiple weekend events I took part in groups to help do minor retrofit work within and around the homes of disabled or elderly in order to better allow them to live there lives more freely. here was part of a multi deck build at a mobile home park that required plan submittal and approval to the local AHJ.
